LDAP to Manage Data
LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and is a data technology to share distributed information about users and application-specific data. It is a binary protocol but vendor-neutral and an industry standard. It is very useful to manage the distributed access rights to big data, especially in large organizations. Entries are often represented by the LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF). Experts call this technology a directory service. This means it provides a systematic set of data records organized in a hierarchical structure.
